Apply as a retired teacher

Retired teachers can apply even when school registration is closed, as long as a season is available.

Send your application

1. Sign in and open Your Registration on your dashboard.
2. If the checklist is shown, complete About you, then choose I’m a retired teacher in Your school. If registration is closed, choose Apply as a retired teacher instead.
3. In Your teaching history, enter the school or school board you retired from and a short note about your teaching and why you would like to take part. A supporting link is optional. Choose Save and continue.
4. Complete any remaining About you questions, including first language if asked. Retired applications skip the classes step and do not require a school website or student count.
5. Check Review and submit, accept the netiquette pledge and choose Send my registration. Announcements are optional.

After approval

Check your dashboard for questions from the team. Approved retired teachers receive one personal vote per match in the retired-teacher pool, separate from their former school’s votes.
